Cheil UK today revealed that Andrew Bell is joining the agency as client services director to help drive the business’s ongoing growth strategy.
Bell joins from Saatchi & Saatchi, where he has spent the past 13 years working on key high-profile client accounts including Diageo, Toyota, Carlsberg and golf’s European Tour. Most recently he was also the commercial director of Eighty, Saatchi & Saatchi’s brand design agency.
Matt Pye, chief operating officer of Cheil UK, said: “Our business has trebled in size in the past year, due to an increase in work from Samsung and a range of new client wins. That means we need a senior pair of eyes and hands to strategically manage client relationships, ensure our service is impeccable and keep Cheil at the forefront of the sector.
“Andy understands both the commercial and the creative, having helped drive enormous growth among some of the most important client brands at Saatchi & Saatchi. His experience and understanding of the marketing communications industry – and what clients need – will stand us in excellent stead as we drive forward our growth agenda.”
Andrew Bell added: “Cheil isn’t just a growing business – it’s a thriving, ambitious and entrepreneurial one. Outstanding client service is a crucial in developing work that’s not only outstanding, but that drives clients’ businesses forward.
My role will be to help focus the business even more tightly on its clients and ensure the business development strategy continues to evolve.”
Bell is the latest in a string of senior appointments including the hiring of Jon Buckley (ex-digital director at Mesh Marketing) as head of social at the end of last month.
