In this month’s episode of Electric Glue’s podcast Sacrifice and Success, Sir John Hegarty speaks to actor and writer Andi Osho.
Andi Osho’s fifteen year career spans film, TV, theatre and stand up. Her television acting credits include Holby City, EastEnders and Death In Paradise. She has also starred in Sky Atlantic’s street-race drama, Curfew, Michaela Coel’s groundbreaking drama I May Destroy You, and Jed Mercurio’s smash BBC serial, Line of Duty. She made her West End debut in Olivier-nominated The Miser and has also starred in hollywood film Shazam!
A podcast host herself, Andi has recently published her debut novel ‘Asking for A Friend’. She talks with John about her journey into the creative industries, why the foundation her mother set her was crucial to her success and the sacrifices she made along the way in her illustrious career.
“Andi has had such a fascinating journey. Her fluid approach to creativity and her passion, energy and self-motivation is relentless. Always in the pursuit of creative excellence and creating a genuine impression on the world, it is an honour for us to hear and learn from this incredible artist,” comments Darius Karbassioun, managing director, Electric Glue.
Listen here to find out the slivers of Andi that found their way into her new book, why she doesn’t have the knees to be a superhero and what it’s like to star in but also be an ardent fan of Line of Duty.
