Talent is the lifeblood of our industry, but often we think of talent as something that goes hand-in-hand with youth. It is potential to be shaped, nurtured, and eventually realised, if the conditions are right.
When it comes to nurturing talent, I can only speak for my own network but it is my belief that it is never enough. There is always more we can do. Talent and youth are not mutually exclusive. Talent can be found at all levels and no matter what the experience.
That’s why the Art Directors Club of Europe is launching the Rising Stars programme, an umbrella brand for all the education and networking initiatives for the different generations of creatives across Europe.
We have launched it because our agencies and networks are facing some of their biggest challenges yet. Across the world, we all have to deal with increasing disruptions of processes, structures, creative product and even business models.
Representing more than 4,500 professionals from the field, we have a responsibility to help raise the quality of the creative communication in Europe by empowering the creative talent.
Rising Stars exists to provide the top quality support and education for talent to thrive at all levels: young creatives, senior creatives with the aim to be creative leaders and experienced creative leaders.
To do this, we’re bringing together all the best learnings and people from the best educational initiatives from throughout Europe.
Supporting individuals, but also the wider industry, to help establish a culture of creative excellence that gives the best talent all the freedom they need to excel and unleash their potentials.
It’s a big job, but we’re optimistic and confident we will succeed.
