House 337 has appointed an all-female management team to run its integrated production department overseeing the agency’s creative output.

Sue Lee-Stern and Victoria Fischer take up the joint roles of head of film overseeing all film, content and radio output. They will work alongside Liz Boothby who is promoted to head of project management and oversees stills photography, illustration and CGI. The three executives will jointly head the 40-strong production department, reflecting the collective nature of House 337 and report into chief executive Phil Fearnley.

Phil Fearnley, says, “The production department is the beating heart of any agency – they make the magic happen. So being able to put this brilliant team of women at the helm of production is exactly what we need to keep House 337’s creative output at the top of its game. They have the experience, the passion and the sheer tenacity to produce the sort of spine-tingling, mind-blowing creativity that brands need to stand out in the modern media environment.”

Before her appointment as joint head of film, Sue Lee-Stern was a freelance executive producer at the agency and has worked alongside House 337 executive creative directors, Jo Moore and Leon Jaume over many years. Her most recent work includes producing House 337’s 2022 Christmas ad for Marks & Spencer. She has an established portfolio of experience working with iconic brands including Guinness, Ford, BMW, Nokia and Glenfiddich. One of her proudest achievements is the work she did on Dove’s Reverse Selfie ad, named the 2nd most awarded UK Campaign by WARC 2023.

Sue Lee-Stern says, “Film production deserves a seat at the top table in advertising, so I’m really excited to be jointly running this incredible department steeped in creative excellence and built on respect, kindness and joy. We will continue to challenge the norms of production and creativity while making sure everybody is having fun.”

Victoria Fischer was previously acting head of production at House 337 and over the past six months has overseen all the agency’s film projects including, Women’s Aid – which has been nominated for numerous awards. She has worked for over fifteen years in production and management roles for creative agencies as a freelance executive producer and production director specialising in branded content and entertainment. She brings her expertise in producing for tech & fashion brands including Beats by Dre, adidas, Apple, Facebook and LEGO.

Victoria Fischer says, “Having re-enforced positive change in the production department culture, Sue, Liz and I are focused on inspiring our team to achieve ever greater creative heights. I’m personally looking forward to developing our innovation in film and delivering exceptional creative storytelling with sustainable practices and D&I at its core.”

As head of project management, Liz Boothby oversees the project management and production of all creative output except film and radio. She was previously deputy head of project management. Boothby joined WCRS in 2014 as an integrated project manager and has remained with it through its incarnations as Engine and House 337. She has overseen production of work for clients including E.On Global, Sky, Santander and MoneySuperMarket and its past corporate identity.

Liz says, “Project Management and Production are the unsung heroes of the creative industries, but without our brilliant, focused and committed production teams, the outstanding and extraordinary creative work that this agency is famed for won’t see the light of day. As joint managers of production, we’ll be encouraging the teams to keep pushing to make House 337 the most creative, exciting, and innovative agency around.”
