On Friday 3rd August, adidas will host Don’t Think: Immersive Experience in London through #adidasundeground. As part of the event they will screen the audacious Chemical Brothers documentary, Don’t Think.
For almost 20 years, The Chemical Brothers’ mind-blowing live shows have played to packed stadiums, clubs and festivals all around the world to an ever- growing number of fans. For all their audio-visual wizardry, their shows have never been filmed. In 2011, all this changed when the electronic heroes played a headline set in front of 50,000 fans at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. RSA director and “third Chemical Brother” Adam Smith, documented the gig at the iconic festival with 21 cameras for the explosively dynamic film.
Edited by The Quarry’s Mark Whelan, “Don’t Think” is a psychedelic journey, plunging the audience in a tidal wave of sound, film and light to reveal the magically transformative effect it has on the festival crowd.
The film, which was released in February at 600 cinemas in 30 countries worldwide, received excellent reviews. Mixmag hailed it as ‘the cinematic event of the decade", Mojo “a psychedelic classic” and Rolling Stone “a neck bracing tour de force”.
#adidasunderground are giving fans another chance to revel in this sensory extravaganza. Don’t Think: Immersive Experience will screen the critically acclaimed film and feature brand new visuals from director Adam Smith and editor Mark Whelan as part of a live, interactive experience on Friday 3rd August at a top secret London location.
