Ignacio Oreamuno, Executive Director of the Art Directors Club (ADC), today announced a new partnership with the Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Marking the first time the Berlin School brings its open programs to the US—the joint venture will entail three-day executive leadership programs offered at the ADC in New York.
The slate of custom courses will offer three full days and one evening of executive training designed for leaders and leaders-to-be in the creative communications industries.
Boasting a level of learning unprecedented in the industry, notable past participants of The Berlin School’s programs include: Robert Wong, CCO, Google Creative Lab; Luiz Sanches, CD, Almap BBDO (Cannes Agency of the Year 2010 & ’11); Saneel Radia, Head of Innovation, BBH and BBH Labs; and more. Likewise, the school’s creative industry speakers and board members include the likes of David Droga, Founder and Creative Chairman, Droga5; Jon Kamen, Chairman and CEO, @radical media; Keith Reinhard, Chairman Emeritus, DDB Worldwide; Bob Greenberg, Founder, Chairman and CEO, R/GA; among many others.
“Education is becoming one of the key pillars of the new ADC,” said Oreamuno. “In this ever-changing industry, creative leaders need customized options for training and learning - so we partnered with the Berlin School of Creative Leadership because they are the best executive course out there. We intend to address all the issues facing our industry through our educational programs - in our quest to establish the new ADC as a place for members to network, and learn.”
“Given that the Berlin School was first born as an idea in the ADC Germany chapter, it’s perfectly fitting that we launch this exciting series of programs with the ADC and Ignacio’s wonderful team,” says Clark Parsons, Managing Director of the Berlin School. “For us, the secret to creative excellence lies in leadership, and we hope that the programs we offer with the ADC in the coming months and years will help the participants build organizations that can deliver great creative work that leads to better success in the marketplace.”
The courses, which address frequent challenges and proven practices in the leadership of creative organizations and projects, will feature various teaching formats including simulation and role-playing exercises, interactive lectures, film-based discussions, case analyses and group work.
The first program will take place October 18-20 in New York City. Titled 'An Introduction to Creative Leadership', it will be led by two of the school’s most prominent faculty members, Professor David Slocum (Faculty Director of the Berlin School) and Professor Robert Weisz.
