After 12 years of recognising and rewarding Dutch startups, the Accenture Innovation Awards has partnered with creative production studio Ambassadors to blossom into the Blue Tulip Award.
Vincent Lammers, creative director, Ambassadors explains: “It was important that, now the instantly identifiable Accenture name was dropped off, innovation was communicated visually instead. And because this visual was going to be used across so many themes and applications, it had to be simple and hold up to different colours and textures.
“Naturally we started with the tulip design, a surprisingly challenging process of balancing stylisation and form. After landing on a modern yet elegant style and subtle repeat of the leaf and petal, we had our central image. Then came the fun part of creating an animated and aural explosion that takes you through each of the issues-based theme driving the awards: climate, education, finance, health, living and working, mobility, nutrition and security.
"This meant a lot of research to ensure our visuals linked up to thematic issues in 2019, while also going a little crazy on the snippets that link it all together.”
It is the first logo design from the creative production studio based in Amsterdam and New York and known for offering all craft offerings under one roof.
