WPP and Edelman vet will create a new, omnichannel version of influencer marketing

Acadia, which gives middle-market businesses the digital acumen once reserved for the world’s biggest brands, has hired Rebecca Yi as its first head of influencer marketing. Rebecca was an architect of the Village Marketing success that prompted WPP to acquire the pioneering influencer agency a year ago. She has also led integrated marketing efforts for Edelman and Ogilvy, touching a wide range of consumer brands including The Coca-Cola Company, T.J.Maxx, Samsung, White Claw, Corkcicle, and SeatedApp.  

“When it’s part of an omnichannel effort, rather than an isolated specialty, influencer can yield critical insights that raise the performance of all digital marketing,” said Jared Belsky, CEO of Acadia. “Rebecca has mastered the influencer space in so many categories, from CPG and health & wellness to finance and tech. With her at the helm, we can increase the return on all our client campaigns.”
