Absolute Hires Flame Artist Jasmine Cooper and Junior CG Artist Heidi Prescott

Absolute has strengthened its VFX and CG departments with the appointment of Flame artist, Jasmine Cooper and junior CG artist, Heidi Prescott.

Jasmine’s career began at Whitehouse Post, where her initial interest lay in offline editing. A string of rough comps ignited her fascination of VFX, and she subsequently mastered the Flame workflow through positions at Nice Biscuits, Optical Arts, and most recently, Bubble TV. Her portfolio spans collaborations with BMB, FRIEND and Outsider and she’s crafted work for brands including Nike, Specsavers and Sofology.

A keen advocate for more diversity within the industry, Jasmine comments, “I’m proud to be a female in our ever-changing industry and I hope to see more and more women jumping into technical and creative roles. I feel lucky to be able to rock up to a job that isn’t your typical ‘office job’ and I’m excited to learn from the opportunities that come alongside working within a larger team.”

For Escape Studios 3D VFX graduate, Heidi, her love for the endless possibilities of CGI began whilst researching for her dissertation. Her new title marks her first official role in the industry, following on from a Runner position at Framestore, where one highlight came in the form of a chance meeting with the Director on ‘Paddington’ and she wore the hat of stand-in Actor for a day! 

Of her new role, Heidi comments: “Absolute feels like the ideal environment for my first job in the industry. I can already tell I’m going to learn so much from lots of different people and I can’t wait to improve my skills, not to mention meet all the office dogs...”
