Thomas James' new short film for Ditch's 'Twisted Ritual' absinthe is a dark, gothic experience. Taking inspiration from the revered style of Black Dog Films director Jonas Åkerlund - who launched the absinthe brand - a sense of macabre permeates the story of a woman keeping a man captive in her house. 

Directed by Thomas, the promo for the Swedish absinthe brand features music from American singer-songwriter Chelsea Wolfe, providing the perfect accompaniment to the eerie black and white visuals that characterise Jonas' style.

Ditch absinthe is flavoured with wormwood, hyssop and balm leaves and has a “twisted dark tone” - suitably Jonas. Check out more of his work here.
