A Hand Puppet Gets Swept off His Feet in Rex Orange County’s Quirky Video

Chris first collaborated with Rex Orange County for ‘Love Is Easy’ back in 2017, they reunited again to tell a sweet romantic story for ‘Amazing’. The music video has a wonderful handcrafted quality to it, featuring hand puppets. It tells the charming story of Mr Hand, a milkman from a sun kissed alpine town going about his business milking cows and delivering milk. Then along comes a young lady who sweeps him off of his fingers. 

The quirky handcrafted quality makes the perfect partnership for Rex’s romantic lyrics and daydream-like escapism sound of the music. Originally Chris suggested making a stop motion like they did for ‘Loving Is Easy, however due to time constraints they decided instead to go with puppeteering. 

"It's really cool that [Rex] came back to us for a second one!" says Chris Ullens. "He said it was the sister song to the first one we did a video for, and that he wanted us to be back on it for that. But the schedule was mad - so instead of stop-motion we suggested puppeteering and he loved the idea. The schedule was still mad though, as we took four and a half weeks to deliver. But I'm really pleased with the result!"
