The Play Room’s Adam Spivey once again turns his humorous cutting hand to these playful spots written by Abbott Mead Vickers for Exxon Mobil and shot by Rogue Films performance director Sam Cadman.
The first film in this campaign ‘1st to Work’ follows an unexpected employee on his way to work. What the poor chap doesn’t know is that as the 1st worker to park his car in the office car park he is about to be greeted to a Grand Prix Winners welcome complete with adoring fans, loyal race team technicians, a trusty sponsored cap and a full podium reception.
The second in the campaign film ‘Car Wash’, captures the reactions of unexpected customers who pull up to the local car wash to have their car cleaned only to find that the cleaning crew have been super-styled and souped up as F1 team technicians. More surprise and genuine astonishment follows as GB driver Jenson Button pulls up behind in his F1 car and removes his crash helmet revealing himself. The punters are soon getting up close and personal snapping Button ‘selfies’.
Adam’s light-hearted edit enhances the fun and cheekiness to these good-natured pranks.
Meanwhile, The Play Room’s Alessandra Milani proves her editing talent is not limited to drama and highly stylised projects with this charming spot for The Sun. A little boy wiggles his champion front tooth throughout his day; from brushing his teeth, being at school, to finally having his 'Wobbly Tooth' knocked out whilst manning the football goal. Our little hero eagerly awaits the pennies from the ‘tooth fairy’ which he pops into his penny jar for his next Big Holiday (according to The Sun!)
Ale’s endearing edit leaves a warm smile and childhood memories.
