72andSunny New York Strengthens Leadership Team

72andSunny New York welcomes award-winning strategist Tom Naughton as executive strategy director as the office continues to grow with new business wins. Tom joins the New York leadership team consisting of Brett Edgar (president) Lora Schulson (director of production) and Carlo Cavallone (global co-chief creative officer & partner) who is based in New York. Tom will also work alongside other New York office leaders including executive creative director, Elaine Cox, group creative directors Sherina Florence and Ida Gronblom and deputy executive strategy director Michael Osbourn.

An industry vet with almost two decades of experience, Tom has helped drive the strategy behind culture defining creative work for Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola, GE, Heineken, Kraft, MINI and, to name a few. Most recently he served as Head of Strategy for Pereira O’Dell where he led a slew of new business wins, and helped diversify and expand the kinds of work the agency has become known for including:“Daydreaming in the Life Artois,” “Free Range Humans,” and the national campaign for the AdCouncil, “It's Up To You." Prior to that, Tom held leadership roles at several creatively recognized agencies including Fallon, BBDO and Droga5.

“Tom brings a unique vision and perspective to the team. Creatively he comes at things laterally and is known for his proven track record of creative excellence,” said Brett Edgar, President, 72andSunny New York. “As the New York office continues its pursuit for winning creativity, it was only fitting that Tom was a key piece of the puzzle and we’re excited for what’s ahead.”

“The New York team is ending the year on a high-note with the incredible addition of Tom and great work for our brand partners like Etsy. We can’t wait for 2022 to start in NYC, as we continue in our pursuit to create very entertaining and very purposeful work," said Carlo Cavallone, Global Co-Chief Creative Officer & Partner, 72andSunny.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the 72andSunny New York team. Working again with Brett and joining the talented people at the agency was such a no-brainer for me. We’re on to something and ready for the continued success I’m confident we’ll have together,” said Tom.

Tom’s hiring comes after the office released standout work for the 2021 Summer Olympics with Comcast and Xfinity, highly emotional holiday work for Etsy with “Give More Than a Gift” and the recent wins for Hubspot and plant-based food brand, LikeMeat.
