72andSunny Brings the Ultimate Care Package to CoD & Carl's Jr. Partnership

Hungry Man's Wayne McClammy directs explosive new spot starring Charlotte McKinney

72andSunny Brings the Ultimate Care Package to CoD & Carl's Jr. Partnership

72andSunny’s Brand Partnership Incubator has launched its first groundbreaking partnership between Activision’s Call of Duty and Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s for the release of Black Ops III and the Tex Mex Bacon Thickburger.

The partnership marks Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s biggest promotional tie-in and Call of Duty’s first ever in-game integration with a fast food chain. The activations from the partnership vary from co-branded products both in-store at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s and in-game in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, as well as co-branded content across digital, social and broadcast channels.

Across the U.S., Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s released the “Ultimate Care Package,” a Call of Duty: Black Ops III themed combo meal, inspired by the care package drops in the game, that consists of a Tex Mex Bacon Thickburger, large fries and a large drink with a peel-and-win game piece for instant-win prizes.

One of the instant-win prizes in the partnership combo meal is the “Take Out” personalization pack, exclusively for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, that includes weapon camo fitted with a ketchup, mustard and extra pickles themed design. The design for the “Take Out” weapon was created in collaboration with Activision, CKE Restaurants, 72andSunny and Treyarch.

In “Best Day Ever,” a new 45-second ad for the Call of Duty, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s and partnership from 72andSunny, Charlotte McKinney returns from her “Au Naturel” fame, armed and ready for battle. McKinney saves the day in the middle of a pyrotechnic-filled trailer inspired by the world of Call of Duty: Black Ops III and even performed her own stunts for the spot. The ad will premiere nationally on October 26.

For Veterans Day, 72andSunny connected CKE Restaurants and Activision Blizzard’s philanthropic programs Stars for Heroes and Call of Duty Endowment (CODE), both dedicated to military heroes and their families, to raise money for veterans’ employment efforts. All proceeds from the sales of any “Ultimate Care Package” at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s on November 11, will go directly to CODE, which has funded job placement of over 15,000 veterans to date.
