72andSunny Amsterdam announces that Creative Directors, Laura Visco and Rey Andrade have been promoted to Deputy Executive Creative Directors.
In their new role, Visco and Andrade join the agency’s management team, tasked with further elevating & diversifying the creative output of the work and growing our creative talent.
“Laura and Rey have a great track record within this company and have done great work on brands like Activision, Google, Uber and Axe. Both reflect our values and are living representation of how we value diverse voices in our company”, said Executive Creative Directors Carlo Cavallone and Stuart Harkness.
“Most importantly, as we grow, it’s important that we inject fresh ideas and people in our leadership and that we keep changing. Both Rey and Laura are motivated to bring innovation to our work and to our talent.”
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Laura Visco started her career when she was nineteen. Laura believes advertising can be an agent for social change, shaping people’s perceptions and culture, and has worked ever since to make sure she delivers on this. She was one of the Creative Directors behind the highly acclaimed “Find Your Magic” campaign, repositioning AXE as a brand that champions individuality and encourages guys to find their magic. Earlier this year Laura was named one of Adweek’s “Creative 100” and nominated as Creative Director of the year by Ad Age. She also launched ‘Invisible Creatives’, an initiative that aims to get more female creatives in the industry by giving them more exposure to agencies and recruiters.
“I'm beyond excited to make a more significant impact on how we run the creative discipline at 72andSunny Amsterdam. I feel that this company is an integral part of me. It's the place where I finally found my voice, creatively speaking”, says Deputy Executive Creative Director, Laura Visco. “This new role gives me the unique opportunity to help others find their creative voice and bring their authentic perspective to the work we produce.”
Hailing from El Paso, Texas, Rey joined 72andSunny seven years ago. Beginning his tenure at 72andSunny LA he ran Activision and Sonos, creating famous work for Call Of Duty and the Sonos Your Home campaign, before moving to 72andSunny Amsterdam to lead the creative work for Google and Uber. Rey brings with him a vast wealth of creative and design experience and a passion to diversify the creative class. Rey wants to help build a more culturally inclusive voice, both through the agency’s culture and through the work.
“I’m humbled by this opportunity but excited to do my part cultivating the best conditions for truly talented people to thrive in”, says Deputy Executive Creative Director Rey Andrade. “But most of all, I’m excited to take on the ever-changing challenges of this industry with a healthy dose of wide-eyed optimism and ready to learn as much as I can with and from this lovely misfit collage of people.”
