Creative company 72andSunny Amsterdam today announces that it is adding three new hires this Autumn to transform the strategy and brand departments. The new hires will further round out 72andSunny Amsterdam’s commitment to providing great brands like Benetton, Google, Samsung and Smirnoff, with high-quality work and brand acumen.

72andSunny is committed to putting brand strategy above all else and places comms planning at the heart of creative development. In keeping with this approach, 72andSunny Amsterdam is proud to welcome French Senior Strategist Alexandra Matine and British Comms Strategist Michael Roberts.

Before relocating to Amsterdam, Alexandra spent time working at communications agency Isobar Paris as a Senior Digital Strategist. During her tenure she lead new business development for brands such as Coca-Cola, L’Oreal Paris and Français des Jeux – France’s equivalent of the National Lottery. Her most recent role was at French agency La Chose, as Head of New Business Development and Planning, where she managed a team of five planners. Alexandra joins the 72andSunny Amsterdam team to work into Director of Strategy, Stephanie Newman.

Reporting directly into Director of Communication Strategy, Simon Summerscales, Michael joins the team from Carat UK. In his seven years at Carat Michael worked across a variety of roles, delivering digital, innovation and communications work for a broad range of clients including Diageo and adidas. He will bring knowledge gained on these brands to invigorate the 72andSunny Amsterdam’s thought processes.

Enhancing the brand management offering, 72andSunny Amsterdam also welcomes Spanish Brand Director Zaida Vázquez Montalar to work on Google across Europe. Brand Director Zaida’s background includes a stint at Saatchi and Saatchi as Integrated Account Director where she created stand-out work for Visa Europe and Mattessons. Before this, Zaida worked extensively in Madrid, with a succession of independent agencies where she managed integrated campaigns for diverse brands such as Vodafone, Action Against Hunger and Universal Studios.

72andSunny Amsterdam’s Director of Strategy, Stephanie Newman comments on the hires: “Michael and Alexandra are two hugely talented individuals who will strengthen and expand our strategic outlook – making us not only creatively brilliant, but also tactically outstanding. We’re also always looking for great people who can think productively and intuitively, and Zaida more than fits the bill - she will be a real asset for our brand team. A Welshman, a Frenchwoman and a Spaniard will also augment our international make-up and add a fresh perspective.”
