Dan Warner and Andy Vasey join as a creative director teamand Stuart Gittings and Reuben Dangoor come in as a creative team

Channel 4’s award-winning in-house creative agency 4creative has significantly expanded its ranks with two talented new duos. Dan Warner and Andy Vasey (pictured) join as a creative director team from AMV BBDO, and Stuart Gittings and Reuben Dangoor, formerly at BBC Creative come in as a creative team.

4creative is one of London’s smallest creative departments, and the new appointments bolster the team renowned for writing and producing risky, innovative and culturally potent work across all Channel 4 brands and services.

Both new creative teams will report into deputy executive creative director Lambros Charalambous – and Dan and Andy will work closely with Lynsey Atkin, executive creative director, on projects across the Channel 4 slate.

Lynsey Atkin said: “Hiring at 4creative is tricky work as it’s a rare creative team with the talent, the spirit and the almost-imperceptible-can’t-put-your-finger-on-it-4ness that makes us whip out the contracts pronto.

“I am delighted that both Dan and Andy, and Stuart and Reuben have made our lives so much easier by having all these qualities and more. Smart, funny, generous and with jealousy-inducing books – I can’t wait to see what we can all make next.”

Andy Vasey added: “Like pretty much everyone in creative industries around the world we’ve long been fans of Channel 4 and 4creative. Channel 4’s remit basically means that by law its work has to be bold, different, innovative and risky – who could turn down that opportunity? We’re excited!”

Dan and Andy joined AMV BBDO in 2014, where they recently worked on stand out campaigns for Mars Petcare and Plenty kitchen towel, which both won multiple awards.

Stuart and Reuben have worked together since 2019, and between them have created award-winning work at the BBC for The Winter Olympic Games, Dracula and This Time With Alan Partridge.

Reuben said: “We grew up on Channel 4 so we were super excited when the opportunity came up to work alongside an incredibly talented team on one of the UK’s most iconic brands.”

4creative was recently awarded the coveted Film Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions for its Paralympics 2020 “Super. Human” campaign. Flipping the emphasis from previous work, it showed the athletes not only in training but also facing their everyday lives and was praised by audiences and Paralympians. Other recent highlights include a special Derry Girls edition of Smash Hits! magazine and Proud All Over which saw hundreds of bespoke posters celebrating small Pride celebrations around the UK.

The team is on a winning streak; earlier this month 4creative scooped 28 Creative Circle Awards including multiple golds for work including last year’s Paralympics campaign, Life’s Looking Sweeter for The Great British Bake Off, the launch of Channel 4’s brand platform, Altogether Different, and #LetHerFinish which launched on International Women’s Day and used the Channel’s continuity announcers to draw attention to the fact that men are 33 times more likely to interrupt women than other men.
