This December, for a bit of festive fun, creative agency 383 proudly presents YuleTube, an app which will add sparkle to Christmas parties by allowing seasonal celebrators to create a shared party jukebox.
Downloadable for desktop, laptop and mobile, the YuleTube app allows users to set up a party and invite friends and co-workers by sharing the PIN (Party Identification Number). Party invitees can then search for and add songs to the playlist, as well as voting to push their favourite tunes to the top of the queue.
The app is one of 383’s Independent Projects – proprietary agency ideas created on an ongoing basis to add extra value for clients or for monetization and independent launch. The product is supported by Pusher, a hosted service which adds realtime features into web and mobile apps.
Likely to be at the forefront of the YuleTube guestlist this year are 383’s clients, who include Orion Media, Chevrolet, Mecca Bingo, Polar, Hammerson and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
383 Creative Director and Co-Founder John Newbold says: “We like to create something a little more original than the bog-standard e-card for our clients at Christmas. Following on from last year’s Jumpify.Me, YuleTube is inspired by the growing trend for using YouTube as a jukebox, as well as the general consumer sharing Zeitgeist.
“We’re hoping prospects and potential recruits will also be inspired by this and want to know more about who’s behind it – and it’s possible we may roll a non-Christmas version out on a more formal basis next year.”
