Virtual industry events to have on your radar for the remainder of 2020, according to Conference Concierge

With 2020 having thrown all sorts of curveballs in every possible shape and size, for conference goers, it is refreshing to know that many conferences are ready (really ready!) to go virtual this autumn.

Conference Concierge's favourite upcoming events:

DMEXCO: 23rd - 24th September

IBC: 8th - 11th September

ANA Masters of Marketing: 21st - 23rd October

Festival of Marketing: 5th - 9th October

The BIG TV Conference: 22nd - 24th September

Advertising Week NYC (GLOBAL): 29th September - 8th October

Why these events?

Conference Concierge try not to be biased when choosing its favourite events, but in this case, having attending a few online flops earlier this year and one physical event that took place in March just before Covid-19 really hit Mexico, it has to be very careful with dedicating time to conferences.

The team have seen that it is difficult to captivate an online audience for more than an hour, especially nowadays when many people are juggling caring for and home-schooling children, concerned about finances and where their next gig is going to come from. Events have to really make their point, allow the sessions to be interactive, and in many of the longer duration events enable some form of online networking via ZOOM or the chosen platform.

The conference that got Conference Concierge back on track this year was Cannes Lions Live. Captivating, entertaining, thought provoking, fun, interactive and of course creative! So, for the events it has highlighted, the organisers have done their research and they know how to put on a successful online event. The speaker lineups come from leaders in their field and some professional icons (Mark Ritson, Mark Pritchard Scott Galloway), there are clear tracks of talks so you can plan your schedule accordingly, one of the marketing focused events provides clear takeaways you will leave with and be able to apply at the end of the five day conference. Plus there are online networking events or interactive sessions available at all the events highlighted.

A couple of the events are free to attend If you register now. Others have set fees or early bird registration offers. If you would like guidance to understand which event is right for you based on budget or business objectives, we would love to hear from you and provide a free consultation.
