On their 5th Anniversary, The Music+Sound Awards has announced its 2016 UK finalists following an exhilarating judging day held at the BFI Screening Rooms in Central London.
Celebrating the disciplines of music and sound design in the media and rewarding the phenomenal talent involved, the competition provides an arena to hold aloft the industry’s best of the best.
The jury this year included industry figureheads Dave Monk from Publicis, Greg Moore from Adelphoi Music, Ed Bailie from Leland Music and Sam Robson from 750mph.
“The Music+Sound Awards provide a platform like no other and it’s always thrilling to see the extraordinary level and breadth of talent of the composers, sound designers and music supervisors who enter,” said Emma Maguire, Awards MD. “This year was no exception and along with our expert jury, we were blown away by the superior standard of work entered. Considering this, it truly is a high accolade being shortlisted for a Music+Sound Award and we want to congratulate all finalists and wish them the very best of luck.”
The Awards will be presented to the 27 winners at a glittering ceremony at Central London’s Café de Paris on 2nd March. Tickets will soon be available for purchase.
The global branch of the competition, The International Music+Sound Awards, is now open for entries with all the UK competition’s finalists automatically being entered, free of charge. All other UK competition entrants are offered a 50% discount.
