The UK Music+Sound Awards, celebrating the indispensible role that music and sound play in visual media, will close for entries at midnight this Friday 19th December.
With very little time left to enter, advertising professionals are invited to submit their work and become part of this trailblazing music and sound celebration.
For a fourth year, the music and sound communities will come together to stage this pioneering competition. They are open to anyone who is or has been involved in the creation, composition, sourcing, licensing, briefing and / or production of music and sound design for any visual media broadcast in the UK between 1st Dec 2013 and 5th Dec 2014.
The thirty-one categories fall into three groups: Best Original Composition, Best Sound Design and Best Use of Existing Music / Sync.
Full details of categories, jury and competition rules can be found on the Music+Sound Award’s website.
Dan Neale, co-founder of The Music+Sound Awards, comments, “We started the awards to fill the gap left in other awards ceremonies, namely recognising the unsung heroes who are integral to productions - composers, sound designers, music supervisors plus all of the music producers and licensing teams too.” He goes on to say, “In tandem with our awards going from strength to strength, we are now seeing music and sound being embraced as more than just the bolt on at the end of a production. Sometimes it is even at the heart of the strategy. As a result, the work gets stronger, and more adventurous. Judging by the standard we are seeing entered, it's going to be a tough year for our jury. Thanks to all entrants so far, and special thanks to the companies who sponsor us year in, year out - who have the vision and positivity to bring this event together."
Nominees for the fourth Music+Sound Awards will be announced in early February 2015, and winning entries will be honoured and showcased at a ceremony on Wednesday 4th March 2015 at Café De Paris, in London.view more - Awards and Events
