International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all around the world. It’s a day to honour women and celebrate their accomplishments.
In the world of film and television, female directors, DOPs, producers and entrepreneurs have been making waves in recent years, breaking down barriers and challenging the traditionally male-dominated industry.
We at
Zauberberg couldn’t be more proud to represent many iconic and amazingly talented and hard-working female directors who have created exceptional pieces of work, and on this International Women’s Day, we would like to celebrate them and their contributions to this industry. They have broken down barriers and challenged the status quo, proving that women can excel in any field they choose.
We look forward to seeing more of their incredible work in the future, accompany them along the way and towards a world where female directors are no longer the exception!
Andrea Roman Perse, Zauberberg’s managing director and partner says: “Zauberberg is in love with everybody, who has talent and energy. But we are and always have been into female empowerment. Naturally and deliberately. Easy and logical. No explanation needed.”
Juliane Ellrich, Zauberberg’s partner and executive producer agrees: "I don't know of any other company in the industry in Germany where a 30-year-old woman has become a partner. What I have always loved about Zauberberg - there are too many things to list - no, seriously. Whoever walks through the front door can be themselves and is encouraged to do so. We pride ourselves on being a female-led and female-driven company, with more female employees than male. Again, whoever you are, you're always welcome here“.
