Martina joined global hygiene and health company Essity in 2015 to drive the global communication strategy and key campaign initiatives for the Essity Feminine Care global business.
Her work for Essity so far includes taboo-smashing campaigns Red.Fit, #bloodnormal and #vivalavulva, that have gained worldwide recognition and numerous awards for creative excellence and marketing efficiency, including Cannes Lions Titanium, Grand Prix Glass Lion for Change, D&AD Impact White Pencil, Grand Prix of Excellence at Marketing Society, Grand Prix at WARC for effective use of brand purpose, and more. Thanks to this work, Essity feminine care brands globally (including Bodyform in the
UK and Libresse in Northern Europe) are now recognized for disrupting the feminine care category fighting against period-shaming stereotypes and the myth of vulva perfection.
Prior to Essity, Martina spent 4 years at the Philips global headquarters in the Netherlands, leading global integrated campaigns for key consumer electronics launches, as well as staffing and managing an in-house production department for digital asset development.
She first started her career at McCann, where she spent 8 years working on local and global accounts in Athens, Greece and San Francisco, California.
Martina has over 15 years of agency and client-side experience, having worked with A+ list brands in a variety of industries, from FMCG to consumer electronics to IT in B2C and B2B roles.
She has a passion for disruptive creative work and isn’t afraid to fight for it.
