“Running Start” is a podcast from Vhi that has been specially designed to run to. The purpose built running podcast is a perfect blend of music and spoken word, consisting of 5 episodes of increasing length. This unique format supports listeners building up to running a 10km distance gradually, hitting a new milestone with each episode, based on the average runner’s time for 2km, 4km, 6km, 8km and 10km. We launched the podcast to support Vhi’s continued sponsorship of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.

The podcast episodes feature uplifting stories from an eclectic mix of inspirational women in Ireland - such as Aimee Connolly (Sculpted by Aimee), Una Healy (Singer/presenter), Jess Murphy (Founder and chef of Kai restaurant), Cora Staunton (Mayo GAA legend) and Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen (Authors of the Aisling book series). The interviews are paired with music that's specifically composed to keep you moving, with the perfect heart rate beats per minute (BPM) for running.
