For the fifth consecutive year, giffgaff  used Halloween to launch an ambitious piece of Online Content.  The film is called 2am and centres around a young woman called Lucy who's dressed up for a big Halloween Club night. Lucy's on her way to meet her boyfriend on the dance floor and once in the club, her evening takes a downward spiral, quickly escalating into her being lost and scared.

Director Tom Rainsford unveils an increasingly dystopian journey of intensely vivid images associated with fear and a feeling of being lost, creating a sense of heightened reality as Lucy tries to navigate an endless claustrophobic corridor.

What lies beyond is a shock, and hands a choice to Lucy which cleverly resonates with giffgaff's core proposition and message.

This film showcases giffgaff’s continued passion for Halloween by delivering an entertainingly disruptive piece of communication which extols their familiar “Free to Stay Free to Go” message with a fresh and freaky twist.

The film authenticly embraces the current trends for Halloween, and Club Culture, with re-recorded versions of Rockwell's 1984 hit "Somebody’s Watching Me" providing the pulsating soundtrack, in different ways throughout the piece.
It's a slice of playful bizarre Halloween fun, with a few scares and a kooky ending.  As ever the film is playful, bizarre and a little crazy, just like Halloween and every decent night out.
