The new #CiaoKendall campaign by Reserved introduced the brand's new ambassador Kendall Jenner. The pop-culture icon was the star of the commercial that stands out thanks to a unique style, inspired by the 1970s, and a surprising transformation of the main character into a mermaid. The film was directed by Gordon Von Steiner, a director well known and acclaimed in the world of fashion. Platige Image realized the post-production for the video, including color correction and CGI for the mermaid's tail. The #CiaoKendall campaign was created to introduce the brand’s new ambassador Kendall Jenner. In the short film, the celebrity played multiple parts. The visually sophisticated video showed various incarnations of the protagonist, each reflecting the world of high fashion in another way. The most interesting form of Kendall Jenner was the final one, with the star appearing as a mermaid. Her tail was created 100% using computer generated imagery. The tail movement stemmed mostly from Kendall’s hip movement. Tracking markers positioned on her body were transferred to the technical texture of the tail, making it possible for the animator to align them with physical hip markers. In the wide shot, where the entire tail is visible, the animation of the tip is inspired by nature. |
