On average, every child in Indonesia has five cavities, and this issue continues across age groups, with almost half the Indonesian population having active dental caries. Coupled with evolving diets that see an increased consumption of sugar, numerous studies have indicated the importance of preventive self-care in improving dental hygiene in Indonesia.
The impact of poor dental hygiene on children is well-documented. Through design, we used these snacking moments into simplified cartoonish antagonists to depict the issue of cavities, this campaign made oral care messaging interesting to the young audience to tackle the existing poor emphasis on dental hygiene in Indonesia.
