About

Zoic Studios is located in an area of Los Angeles that is home to numerous production companies, national advertising agencies, make-up companies, and other fashion related businesses. When visitors first enter our 16,000 square foot building, they are surprised at the interior they see. Nothing from the outside quite prepares them for the openness and vibe inside Zoic Studios. With over 80 staff employees, and the ability to expand to over 120 artists, Zoic Studios is positioned to accommodate any size visual effects project.

We host a full line up of hardware and software ranging from off-the-shelf to proprietary homegrown solutions. At the core of Zoic we have over 100+ terabytes of clustered storage and a 1000+ processor render farm.

We also have a studio located in Vancouver, Canada.  Our studio occupies 4,000 sq. feet inside the Sun Tower in the creative Gastown district.  At full capacity, we have workstations for over 40 2D and 3D artists, whom have 20 terabytes of storage and over 200 render nodes at their disposal. Our Vancouver facility also has a distinct advantage in its ability to utilize the 100 terabytes of storage and over 1000 render nodes in Los Angeles through high-speed Internet and VPN connections established between the two studios. Additional amenities the studio offers include an Avid edit suite, a screening room, a Frame Thrower 2K playback system, and video conferencing.  Canada and the province of British Columbia offer significant tax credits. By choosing to work with Zoic Studios BC, your project may directly benefit by receiving a significant tax credit.

Zoic Studios also has a 5,000 square foot stage, which can be sub-divided into multiple smaller stages, features a motion control rig with camera, full lighting, grip, and electric packages and a 20’ x 30’ green screen stage. Talent facilities include a hair and makeup room, private shower, private patio, and green room. The stage has a sizable parking lot with an outdoor area for pyrotechnical shoots.  Annually our stage is used for scores of shoots to aid our clients in achieving the most cost effect solution to their visual effects needs. These clients include commercial, episodic, promotional, webisode, and game productions.

Without question our most valuable asset is our people. Zoic Studios takes pride in continuing to attract to its family the most talented and dedicated staff and freelancers in the industry.
