Film Locker is a UK based independent technology company servicing the creative industries with carbon neutral secure digital-film data storage and archiving. Our clients are advertising agencies, television & film production companies and brands. We are committed to protecting all shoot material and final masters to the highest standard and security protocols. We hold both Albert Sustainability Production Certification and the DPP 'Dedicated To Security' mark.
How we work for you
1. Send us your data on hard drives at the end of the production. Our offices are in central London.
2. We log, verify and database your data, immediately creating multiple copies. A full database of your inventory is viewable online.
3. Data is secured with twin redundancy, dual located LTOs. We scrub and return your hard drives to you for re-use.
4. If you need the data back it can be retrieved within a day. It comes back to you on a hard drive ready to use.
Green Locker
Film Locker is Albert accredited as a ‘Sustainable Supplier’ having worked closely with green supply chain experts to provide a carbon neutral archiving solution for the media industry.
Our storage methods create around 4kg of CO2 per terabyte when storing data on the cloud creates around 9,000kg of CO2 per terabyte.
We enable our customers to significantly reduce their carbon footprint and provide annual certification to count towards their sustainability mandate.
Reuse
We scrub, clean and return your hard drives, allowing you to re-use them on the next shoot They’re built for multiple use and are safe for 10,000 read-write cyclesWe save our clients thousands of pounds a year on shoots by re-using existing drives instead of buying new ones every time.
Reduce
We reduce the raw material used to store data, by fitting as much data as possible onto every LTO, your storage becomes compact, organised and efficient.
Recycle
We are a carbon neutral service; all waste is recycled or repurposed. We recycle all the elements of old hard drives and if you have old stock we can also recycle that for you.

I'm an Agency
We work with advertising agencies of all sizes, both in the UK and in Europe, storing their clients digital film data and assets.
We upload, check, verify, log, and produce an online viewable database, so you know exactly what assets you have stored.
We back-up the data to two copies of dual located LTO with retrieval in one day when you need it.
Our price point is the most cost effective on the market and charged by the terabyte so you only pay for the space you use. Some agencies recharge our costs to their clients as a small percentage on each job.
Our service is the lowest carbon footprint of any archiving service with the highest DPP accredited security.
I'm a Production Company
We work with production companies across broadcast television, advertising, content creation and film production.
