Role: PR and Social Media Assistant
We are a world class production company based in Australia and New Zealand. We create crafted live experiences, tv commercials, feature films, and digital content. We currently hold several patents and actively develop and license products, innovations and inventions that push the boundaries of conventional storytelling.
We are currently looking for a Social Media Assistant to join our team who will be in charge of the ongoing maintenance of our social media channels, website and EDMs.
You’ll work closely with the Head of PR and Marketing to build our community, maximise engagement, and raise awareness of our talented filmmakers and the incredible work we produce across FINCH and its pillars within the business. You must be a strong copywriter with an eye for design, and have an in-depth knowledge of the social media landscape and how best to enhance and expand our current and potential new channels.
To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media and communications with an extensive knowledge of the film and advertising industry.
Managing our website content, and our social media channels and growing our audience across Instagram and LinkedIn, and ensuring our work has the widest reach to relevant audiences.
Creating dynamic content (stills/GIFs/video/copy) bespoke to each channel. A mixture of original content alongside the curation and repurposing of existing assets. Using timelines and scheduled content to ensure a consistent stream of new material while analysing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimise engagement. Participating in audience interaction to increase traffic to company websites and channels.
Writing and distributing regular e-newsletters to subscribers and building the subscriber base through social channels.
Analysis and reporting on reach and demographics across social, e-newsletters and website traffic, and consolidating information to improve strategy.
Press Releases; copy-writing, design & layout, preparing materials and distribution to press and editorial platforms serving the creative, advertising, film and relevant industries.
An excellent understanding of the traditional and social media landscapes, with an ability to target publicity appropriately.
Excellent attention to detail, and literacy skills
A good understanding of channel metrics, able to adapt strategies according to analysis.
Competence in design, scheduling, and file-sharing software.
