Rumble, Brisbane’s leading independent agency, is searching for a Copywriter to form one half of a new creative team who’ll help the agency to power through a significant period of growth and beyond – most probably doing what you already do now, assuming that’s kicking ass. We have big plans and little time to wait, so are you ready to Rumble?  

Guess it’s time to talk about this place we call Rumble…

Rumble was born in 2014 from the simple idea of big thinking that’s unconstrained by the cumbersome layers of holding-group agencies. It’s something that’s still tightly held today, and is the reason Rumble remains the place where good people from all walks have the freedom to flex their talent across a diverse list of clients – big and small – without the ever-present glower of the corporate boogieman and/or boogiemen.  

And it seems to have worked. Rumble has been named both Asia Pacific’s Independent Agency of the Year at Adfest and B&T State Agency of the Year amongst a bunch of other awards over the past 7 rollicking years.  

We like to think that Rumble isn’t just the place for work, but the place to work, as we focus on putting culture and people above clients and profits, though we are also quite fond of the last two as they ensure the first two happen.  

In other words, just a bunch of mildly attractive people with beautiful souls, working together on great clients, while having a really good time along the way. 

As a Copywriting Rumbler you’ll bring:

A knack for generating top-quality work grounded in insight and executed with a distinct passion for your craft  

  • A versatility and tenacity to work across many clients, adapting to varying styles, within tight timeframes and budgets
  • An informed conviction when presenting to Creative Partners, Creative Directors, MD, the Accounts team, and clients
  • A hunger to create award-winning work that you can own 
  • An ‘easy-as’ mindset to help out with whatever’s required
  • A level of affability to form a great working relationship with your art directing offsider (we suggest a trust fall exercise on the first day may help to expedite this greatly) 
  • An eagerness to have a really swell time. 


As an applicant you’ll bring:

4+ years as a Copywriter (unless you think you’re ahead of your time, which we welcome) and portfolio

  • Robust ideation and conceptual abilities
  • A multi-channelled mindset 
  • A strong understanding of traditional channels, platforms, and new technology 
  • Flexibility and a team-focused attitude – after hours may be required
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Keen time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A level of energy and enthusiasm rivalled only by competitive aerobics
  • A cromulent appreciation of ‘The Simpsons’ references, but not mandatory.
