Opportunity: 

The Content Manager will own the creation and direction of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats. The ultimate goal of these efforts is to increase website traffic and drive engagement, qualified lead generation, customer retention, and other positive client-related outcomes.

The Content Manager will help define our brand story, in addition to developing consistency for our brand’s storytelling. They will also have an obsession for content performance, reporting, and analytics.

They will lead the development of our content initiatives with a publisher/journalist mindset, in all forms, to drive new business and cultivate new opportunities with our current client base through their work.

This role will develop and write content that drives the customer journey. You will be the Adstream storyteller, differentiating us over our competition!


Your responsibilities: 

 Converting product features into compelling, customer centric messages

 Work with our Product Management teams, drawing out the benefits from product features

 Create persuasive copy writing that drives conversion

 Campaign content creation that drives deeper click through in the customer journey to have positive impact on our lead generation campaigns which includes emails, web banners, blog posts etc.

 Thought leadership content development; understanding and communicating market trends at a thought leadership level

 Taking data and creating hooks to engage and drive further consumption

 Working with our Global Marketing Directors to build a communications calendar, delivering both acquisition content and retention campaigns to drive customer success

 A/B testing and analysis of what messages resonate more with which audiences and optimising campaigns to maximise performance

 Proactively seek and host workshops with stakeholders to complete briefs, you don’t wait for a brief to be handed to you!


Success Measures: 

The Content Manager will be measured on the continual improvement of customer nurturing and retention through storytelling through the consistent development and deployment of content.

Specific measurements of this criteria include:

• An increase in defined customer engagement metrics

• Growth of Blog by organic traffic drivesrs

• Social media positive sentiment metrics

• Customer feedback and survey data

• Increases in key search engine keyword rankings

• Clearly defining content distribution during particular stages of the buying cycle (lead nurturing)

Primary criteria for success are customer and employee affinity. Success is measured around lifetime customer value, customer satisfaction, and employee advocacy.


Skills & Experience Needed: 

The Content Manager role requires a combination of marketing and publishing mindsets, leading at all times with a “customer first” mentality. In essence, the Content Manager is the company storyteller and must be empathetic toward the pain points of the customer.

 5 + years content experience, ideally with campaigns in tech and advertising

 Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language

 Training in the tech world is a bonus. Great at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience

 A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within your own blogs and social media outreach

 Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content

 Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns

 Familiarity with principles of marketing

 Incredible people skills

 Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and content solutions through partnerships

 You will have extensive experience of delivering content for a range of digital first campaigns, including email, social media, website, landing pages

 Building content and assets for net new acquisition campaigns will be second nature, you’ve used data points to create compelling hooks

 You will have kicked off new product launches and value propositions, having built message houses or similar value proposition communications

 A history of creating content calendars that focuses on various department priorities

 A track record of working with Product teams to develop customer centric content from feature-based input

 Used to building concepts, working together with design teams to build compeling creative identity and tone of voice

 Managed productively, various high priority projects at once, working to deadlines
