The Operations Coordinator role incorporates two main aspects, Operations & Provisioning. The responsibilities of the role are outlined here:
Operations Responsibilities
- To be responsible for Sohonet’s equipment orders. You are required to ensure Sohonet is getting competitive pricing, to generate purchase orders and to follow the approval process
- To undertake annual equipment supplier support renewals, ensuring that they are completed in advance of support end dates
- To manage the equipment stockroom & stock inventory sheet with the assistance of the office manager & support team.
- To write health & safety risk assessments for work undertaken by the Sohonet Engineers and then submit for approval by the Head of Operations
- To maintain the POP authorisation list for all Sohonet Engineers
- To update the Sohonet Wiki with new procedures & new supplier details
- To look at ways to drive efficiency through improved process
- To support the Head of Operations & Chief Operations Officer with tasks as required
- To provide project management for Operations projects
- To assist the Support & Engineering teams with Operations queries
- To generate Sales Force reports as directed by the Head of Operations
- To review upcoming customer services termination dates, in order to verify if the customer services will be continuing or cancelled
- To be responsible for the decommissioning process once Sohonet clients have placed cancellation requests
- To undertake SalesForce and Hub admin tasks as required
Provisioning Responsibilities
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the Platform Product provisioning process as well as providing additional bandwidth to the provisioning team where required. The standard provisioning responsibilities are:
- Sending a client welcome email, introducing yourself at the provisioning PM
- To confirm the client’s delivery timeline requirements
- To ensure supplier orders are placed promptly
- To manage provisioning supplier logistics
- To generate client billing tickets promptly
- Update SalesForce with service related data
- Update SalesForce with the progress of the provision and forecast service live date
- Update the Sohonet Hub with client details
From time to time the Operations Coordinator may be required to undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Operations.
