LBB's Addison Capper reckons the new Nike ad is one of the best ads of the year so far, let alone the last seven days
Repurposed footage can be about as unexciting as the term itself. But when used with technical intelligence it can become something completely unique unto itself. Oscar Hudson is a director has bags of that and the Pulse Films director's latest ad for Nike is one of the best pieces of filmmaking we've seen this year, let alone during this period of Covid-19 ads.

Created with Wieden+Kennedy Portland, 'You Can't Stop Us' is a split-screen epic that required trawling through 4,000 pieces of footage to bring to life. The end result, thanks to an editing process by Joint Editorial that we can't really get our heads around, is a montage of 36 split-screen moments made up 72 snippets of those 4,000 pieces of film. Each side-by-side scene has been matched up so meticulously that both sides meld into one as a metaphor for the commonalities shared by athletes of all sports in all countries. The writing is also on point, delivered via a Megan Rapinoe voiceover.

Given our claim that this is one of the ads of the year, it should be unsurprising that we also see it as one of the ads of the week. Check out the full list of this week's best spots in LBB Work of the Week below.
