With the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games beginning at the weekend, Visa has launched its latest Olympic-themed spot from its “Everywhere you want to be” campaign. The spot debuted during coverage of Opening Ceremony.
The film, created with creative agency partner BBDO New York, features Team Visa freeskier and first-time Olympian Torin Yater-Wallace, skiing on a mountain alone at night. Through its Olympic-themed advertising, and the stories of its Team Visa athletes, Visa is encouraging consumers to imagine their own “everywhere,” or the aspirational place they want to be in life. Torin’s “everywhere” is getting away from it all—the crowds, the cameras, the concerns of competing for the Olympics, so that he can enjoy doing what he loves.
