The Review of the Year is free to download today and offers an in-depth look at the winners, trends and data from last year’s awards cycle
The Immortal Awards has partnered with MullenLowe group to launch the competition’s first ever White Paper, celebrating the work from the 2020 event cycle.

The Year in Review profiles each of the Immortal Award winning entries and their makers, as well as reviewing the five projects that earned a Commendation, and a roundup of the Finalists.

The 2020 competition resulted in four incredible pieces of work being immortalised:

  • An Nahar Newspaper - The New National Anthem Edition, submitted by Impact BBDO - Dubai, UAE
  • Bodyform/Libresse - #wombstories, submitted by AMV BBDO, Trim and 750mph - London, UK
  • Burger King - Moldy Whopper, submitted by Publicis Romania - Bucharest, Romania
  • Nike - You Can't Stop Us, submitted by Pulse Films - Los Angeles, USA

Additionally, we delve into the trends in the work submitted and the facts and figures of the entry numbers. You'll also see who made the top ten in the League Table of Creativity, including a few companies who have held their top spots consistently through the first three years of the Immortal Awards.

The White Paper includes an introduction from Jose Miguel Sokoloff, Global President, MullenLowe Group Creative Council, who has judged at The Immortal Awards twice. On getting involved, he said: "The Immortal Awards are an exciting opportunity to recognise remarkable, everlasting work that the creative community will always come back to. Congratulations to the LBB team for another great year – here’s to many more years of celebrating work that pushes the boundaries of what can be done and will help shape our industry’s future.”

Paul Monan, awards director of The Immortal Awards, adds: "I'd love to take this opportunity to thank Jose Miguel and MullenLowe Group for their support on this project as well as the Immortal Awards over the last three years. They are phenomenal advocates of boundary-pushing creativity and we couldn't have picked a better partner for our first ever whitepaper. We're very proud to be able to put this together and make it available for all to download and keep forever, for free."

The project was unveiled at the live Immortal Awards Showcase on March 3rd 2021. The event is now available here on demand for those who missed it or wish to re-watch it.

The Immortal Awards 2020 judging concluded last autumn and the winners were announced at the beginning of December 2020. Thank you to our current Immortal Awards Sponsors.

About the Immortal Awards

The Immortal Awards are free to enter for all companies who are members of Little Black Book. 2021 marks the fourth awards cycle for this event and the Call for Entries will begin March 29th.

The 'Immortals' are judged each year by a stellar line up of jury members from all over the world. The juries are divided by region so that companies in that region have their work judged by their peers and a jury that understands the cultural references and nuances of their part of the world. The shortlist from each regional jury represents the winning work from that region and it is  progressed to the global final. At this stage, a jury pulled from the regional pools decides on which work to 'Immortalise'.

There is no 'quota' of winners to be filled. The jury is able to choose only the work they feel will stand the test of time. And there are no categories; each entry is judged as a whole.
