Dedicated Irish judges put 18 projects on shortlist, with four finalists proceeding to European regional round of judging

The Immortal Awards has today unveiled the shortlist and finalists from Ireland, following a virtual round of judging on Thursday 14th October, hosted in partnership with regional partner CHEAT and global partners Nice Shoes.

The Immortal Awards successfully introduced regional judging last year and has taken this one step further by introducing local rounds for 2021.

In total, the 18 highest scoring projects from across the first round of Irish judging made this year’s shortlist. The 18 projects were then debated by a local jury in a virtual round of discussions to determine which projects, if any, should receive finalist status and proceed to the European round of judging. Four Irish entries have been selected as finalists and have qualified for the regional round of judging.

The regional European round of judging will take place on Thursday 4th of November, with a European jury selecting which projects will go on to the final round.

The final, global round of judging will then take place on Thursday 18th November, in which all regional finalists will compete for an Immortal Award or Commendation status.

Those on the Irish jury were: Emma Sharkey (CSO, Rothco), Carol Lambert (creative director, Publicis Dublin), Deirdre Waldron (CEO, TBWA\Dublin), Shane O'Brien (executive creative director, BBDO Dublin), Karl Waters (creative partner, Folk Wunderman Thompson), Kris Clarkin (creative director, Boys+Girls), Laura Rice (art director, In the Company of Huskies), Catriona Campbell (managing partner, The Public House), Roisin Keown (founder and executive creative director, Brill Building), Paul Holmes (owner and executive producer, Ponder) and Anthony McCaffery (head of post-production. Motherland).
