Following a successful campaign last year, Sky has once again teamed up with Disneymedia+ and Pixar Animation Studios to create a brand new TV ad featuring characters from DisneyPixar’s “Toy Story” films to promote the reliability of its Sky Broadband service.
The new TV ad campaign, which launches on Friday (29th August), is built around “Toy Story That Time Forgot”, a brand new television special featuring the characters from the “Toy Story” world that will be premiering in the UK & Ireland on Sky Movies Disney HD in December. The bespoke 50 second animated advert features well-known Toy Story characters like Buzz Lightyear and Woody, as well as introducing a new set of toys, the fearsome Battlesaurs.
In the TV ad, the characters are seen trying to watch the new “Toy Story That Time Forgot” feature online, only to be interrupted by a poor broadband connection. Luckily, super reliable Sky Broadband comes to the rescue, keeping the characters online. The campaign will also feature on radio – a first for the “Toy Story” characters - as well as on digital platforms, print media and on posters across Britain & Ireland.
