Ogilvy & Mather Japan G.K. (O&M) announced the appointment of Erik Jenkins as social media director. Jenkins will lead the development of social media strategies for their clients, building out their social media capabilities and helping to create memorable and effective "omni-channel" campaigns.
Jenkins has spent his professional career with top tier companies such as Unilever and Coca-Cola. He most recently served as Group Manager of Water Category at The Coca-Cola Japan Company and successfully led the 2015 ILOHAS brand evolution including a new brand and communications strategy, new visual architecture and new product innovations.
In marking the announcement, president Ogilvy & Mather Japan, Todd Krugman, said: "Expanding our social media offering to encompass social influence, social CRM, and social brand building are key drivers of growth for O&M. Therefore, we are thrilled to appoint Erik Jenkins to lead this effort on behalf of the agency and for our clients."
