The composer and performer joins the publishing roster

Sarah Davachi was born in Calgary, Canada and now is based in Los Angeles, USA where she is studying for an PhD in Musicology at UCLA. She works with a wide range of instruments including electric organ, pipe and reed organ, piano, tape-replay samplers, analog synthesizers, voice, early Western strings and keyboards and orchestral strings, brass and woodwind to create a distinctive sound world of slow moving harmonies and sparse textures displaying influences of 1970s minimalism and the renaissance and baroque.

Sarah’s most recent album ‘Cantus, Descant’ was released in September on her Late Music label, a division of Warp Records.

The Manners McDade group of companies provide composer management, music publishing, sync and creative services, specialising in new classical and electronic music and we are delighted to welcome Sarah Davachi. Jenna Fentimen, head of creative at Manners McDade, says “We are so proud to be working with Sarah, who is such a prolific shining light in the ambient and electoacoustic space. Her music is food for the soul; patient, calming and addictively textured. We can’t wait for all that is to come!”
