Manners McDade: My Music with Ed Marquis

Specialists in contemporary classical and electronic music (as well as film and TV composers), the Manners McDade group of companies provide artist management, music publishing and sync services.

The latest addition to the Manners McDade team, Ed is our music and composition producer. He attended Point Blank Music College in London, studying Music Production, Composition and Sound Engineering. He began his career at Jungle Studios working his way up through the ranks before moving to Soho Music as a music supervisor in 2017. There he worked across creative music research and licensing as well as all bespoke composition projects for brands such as Google, Compare The Market, Aero and advertising agencies VCCP, Ogilvy and Engine Group.

“It’s a funny time at the moment, with many of us working from our front rooms. I wanted to compile a playlist to showcase some of my favourite electronic, uplifting ‘good vibes’ that I’ve had in my headphones recently – both from within Manners McDade and externally.

I have always been one to long for summer and feel good electronic music. The connection between a great mood and sunshine is incomparable, even in the winter – a crisp, blue day makes a huge difference to your overall mood and wellbeing. Whilst being cooped up indoors at the moment might be boring, I hope this collection of songs will transport you to sunnier times and that lovely summer feeling everyone gets so excited for at the end of the winter.
