JWT Vietnam Wins Vietnam AirlinesAgency gains account for 2012-2016 period
The results of the Vietnam Airlines bidding, which commenced a year ago and involved a number of international agencies, has been announced with JWT Vietnam coming out as the final winner. JWT’s remit includes 25 countries, covering strategy and brand campaigns for 2012-2016 period.
Vietnam Airlines is a dynamic and fast emerging airline brand from South East Asia having strong domestic network with convenient connection to international routes. It's a leading airline flying to CLMV sub-region (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) with high frequency network, operating a young and modern fleet and embodying unique Vietnamese culture. Vietnam Airlines is an official member of the SkyTeam Alliance.
As part of the selection process by Vietnam Airlines, JWT Vietnam went through a rigorous evaluation process and eventually came out as the one best suited to the airline’s growth plan. JWT Vietnam’s team came up with a powerful insight that not only uniquely captured the spirit of Vietnam Airlines but also demonstrated how to take the brand offer across on a global scale. JWT’s Worldmade credentials and sound brand building expertise, built globally for over 140 years, also played a role in the win. JWT and Vietnam Airlines are looking forward to a successful collaboration and jointly will focus on delivering outstanding brand name recognition and preference for Vietnam Airlines as a new generation airline from Asia. The media duties of Vietnam Airlines will be handled by MPG Vietnam.
On JWT’s win Sabyasachi Mishra, CEO JWT Vietnam said, “We are honoured to be entrusted with the global brand building task for Vietnam’s national flag carrier during 2012-2016. A brief of this enormity is a testimony to our agency’s depth and expertise. The making of a young and rising airline brand is truly exciting and we look forward to building Vietnam Airlines as a top carrier from the region.”
