Leo Burnett has launched a new campaign for The Co-operative Food announcing lower prices on hundreds of everyday essential items.
The campaign focuses on the products that are most important to, and frequently bought by, The
Co-operative customers; everyday convenience staples such as bread, milk, eggs, chicken, bacon and fresh produce such as bananas.
This is a long term commitment that will completely transform the community shopping experience for millions of Co-operative customers and is being supported by a high profile advertising campaign, created by Leo Burnett, which emphasises the important role these products play in everyday life.
The TV ads hero the important role of often overlooked and unsung staples such as bacon and bread. For example, in one spot, ‘The Importance of Bacon’, we see a Dad cooking a bacon sandwich in an attempt to rouse his sleepy teenage son out of bed. In another, ‘The Importance of Bread’, we see toast acting as an unspoken apology in an attempt to smooth over a couple’s tiff.
The TV campaign was shot by Vince Squibb through Gorgeous productions.
The campaign is supported by print, OOH and radio; where for the latter, time specific ads have been written to coincide with moments in the day when certain foods are important.
