Behind-the-scenes on the record-breaking stunt that turned fans into a giant Dorito

Doritos has been “crashing” the Super Bowl for eight years now through the successful Crash the Super Bowl contest, which airs user-generated ads during the Big Game (2014’s “Time Machine” and “Cowboy Kid”).

This year, however, Doritos crashed the game in another way: positioning 50 fans in orange jackets at the back of the end zone to form the “largest human Doritos chip”.RecordSetter.com was live in the stands to officiate the record.

Doritos gave away 50 tickets to unsuspecting fans through a series of “bold challenges.” People were plucked off the streets so they could find out if they were bold enough to handle a bad (really bad) barber, a hippy hugger, a sensual senior citizen and other challenges throughout the week.

The stunt was documented in the web video “The Making Of ‘The Largest Human Doritos Chip'". The video highlights the boldness unleashed in New York City, the donning of the orange jackets, all 30 fans coming together in the stands to form a human Doritos chip and the additional 20 creating the surrounding orange border.

The stunt was buzzed about online and documented through the @Doritos feed and #humandoritoschip.
