Coca-Cola's Iconic Christmas Truck Gets an AR Makeover

Along the years, Coke has become synonymous with Christmas. The red trucks coming into town for the holidays are also somewhat of an institution in all of our minds. Only that this year, due to the pandemic, event cancelling and social distancing rules, the iconic Coke Caravan could be no more. 

MRM Romania thought magic should have no restrictions, so decided to bring the Coke truck back- in AR. Anyone with an Instagram account and just a bit of imagination could take a Coke truck everywhere, from their very own street, to play sessions with their kids, and even make it reach places the regular truck couldn’t dream of reaching, like mountain tops or remote villages. 

Within the experience, users can also honk, play holiday music, light it up or make confetti pop, while also involving it in many social media challenges. 

Scannable stickers were also created and will be available in gas stations across the country, for drivers to decorate their car, and scan them to trigger the virtual experience, thus turning every car into our magical truck. Just another part in our plan to democratise some of that Christmas joy - especially this year.
