Legendary England manager plays with his trains in VCCP's new campaign

This week, BetVictor launches the latest in its series of TV adverts with the return of Maurice, played by Paul Kaye of ‘Dennis Pennis’ fame, alongside two well-known figures from the world of football.

The two adverts will promote the fact that for the fourth year in a row leading independent odds comparison website Oddschecker confirmed BetVictor were the bookmaker who offered punters the best prices on match odds most often last season.

The two TV spots, ‘Inside Track’ and ‘Hot Seat,’ build on the BetVictor brand strategy of ‘nothing should get in your way’ when placing a bet. This time we see excitable, yet innovative, punter Maurice go to extraordinary lengths to try and get the “Inside Track”  from legendary ex-England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson and the word from the “Hot Seat” from renowned TV pundit Mark Lawrenson.

Both ground-breaking adverts have been created to be slightly mischievous and tongue-in-cheek, as well as showing just how simple it really is to bet with BetVictor. In ‘Inside Track’, we see Sven-Göran Eriksson playing with a model railway set in a moment of solace, which is quickly destroyed by Maurice. ‘Hot Seat,’ takes place in a male bathroom, where the lovable rogue accosts Mark Lawrenson.

‘Inside Track’ and ‘Hot Seat’ will debut this weekend, and a highlight spot to look out for them is on Sky Sports 1 ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

Anton Bell, Chief Marketing Officer at BetVictor, said:“BetVictor continues to be acknowledged as the online gambling operator who consistently offers the best value to customers through solid pricing on football markets and innovative products and promotions that our customers love.

We are delighted to bring Maurice back to TV and develop the story line further. It provides us with a creative route that stands out from other gaming companies and enables us to have some fun on the way. Maurice has certainly caught the betting public’s imagination to date and this latest series of adverts sees him up to his old tricks alongside two of the most instantly recognisable figures in the world of football.”

Julian Douglas, Vice Chairman at VCCP, says: “This campaign is our most ambitious BetVictor campaign to date. Adding incredibly recognisable figures like Sven and Mark will elevate the reach of our best odds message to a whole new level, positioning BetVictor as the go-to bookie for consistent value.”
