Benjamin Bourinat Appointed Director of Public Relations at Sopexa USA

Mad Ave insider joins independent agency from Omnicom Group

Sopexa Group, a leading marketing agency for food, beverage and lifestyle brands, today announced the appointment of Benjamin Bourinat to the role of Director of Public Relations, Sopexa USA.  Benjamin will be responsible for leading the development of client public relations and social media campaigns, as well as strategic partnerships and integrations that respond to the growing demand for premium brands to tell more diverse stories through a variety of platforms.

Originally created by the government of France to promote French gastronomy overseas, Sopexa Group went private in 2009 and has since grown to count global offices in 26 countries and clients including trade organizations like Wines of France, and most French wine regions, as well as Italian wine regions, Wines of Argentina and Wines of Chile, but also Cognac, Cheeses of France and other major food commodity boards such as Avocados from Mexico.  Other regional clients include premium food brands like Eurial and Maille/Unilever, as well as Bagatelle restaurants and Club Med resorts.

Benjamin joins Sopexa from Omnicom, where he was most recently Manager of Corporate Communications, driving brand positioning, public relations, and field marketing efforts for the holding company.  He has also held strategic communications positions at Interpublic Group, Havas, as well as various government-owned and political organizations, including François Hollande’s 2012 presidential campaign team.
