Challenge:


Circles.Life was Singapore’s smallest telco, we entered taking on some giants that were the biggest telcos in the region . And in true circles fashion we were entering another big category to take on another giant. But this time in a completely unrelated field — Events and Ticketing. With a product of our own called DISCOVER.


The challenge was how the smallest brand in one category take on an almost monopoly (a ticketing platform called Sistic) in a new category and actually beat them? 



Idea:


Epic Invite is a campaign where we gave all of our media across Singapore to  to anyone who would invite their friends out to one of the events on our app. All they had to do was to pick an event featured on our app and invite a friend by mentioning his social media handle. The invite would then be plastered on a billboard or any of our brand’s media channels all over the city. It would be the largest invite the person has ever been sent. And that too personalised to any friend. 


Results:

  • Our visits were the same as that of the leading 20-year old monopoly and we met that number while only talking to youth.
  • We had an impression to install rate of 23%, compared to CTRs that range in single digits or less. 
  • 97% of those installed the app were active users
  • We had a 37% increase in daily active users a month after the campaign
