Lorenzo & Kakalamba
Italian & SerbianBelgrade, Serbia

Lorenzo and Kakalamba blends the cuisine of Florence in Italy and Pirot in Serbia to offer something a little different. The decor too is a little different to say the least mixing the look of both regions; from goats grazing peacefully (but upside down) on the ceiling, through the reproduction of the famous Florentine sculptures to fantastic oil paintings adorning the bare brick walls. Imagine eating in a museum will give you some idea of the ambience here.
A fusion of flavors include many sweet and savory combinations of finger foods (balls of eggplant with a topping of wild strawberries, melons and prunes rolled bacon, Italian cheeses with homemade jams), delicious pastas in unusual variations, fab pizzas and rich, spicy buns. Desserts a real treat too; a juicy baklava tulumbe, a great tiramisu and a rich chocolate mousse.
Even better, everything is available to take away, including the art on display.
